Blom Weddings & Online Store has been telling stories with flowers since 2012, building a reputation for creating beautiful and memorable floral creations perfectly matched to every occasion and setting.
Our Philosophy
At the heart of our studio practice is a love of the shape and form of flowers, combined with a creative edge. We’re passionate about celebrating nature in our installations and working with seasonal flowers and foliage helps us to keep within nature’s own cycle.
Our Approach
At BLOM, our passion for flowers is ignited as we source from flower markets to hunt out the best stems and foliage we can find. Working with local growers has always been important to us. We’ve been sourcing our blooms from premier suppliers for over a decade.
Back at our busy studio, surrounded by tubs full of flowers, we begin preparing designs for our installations & focal pieces. We create designs for venues and clients the length and breadth of Bloemfontein – and further afield.

Chané Swanepoel
The Owner
With more than a decade’s experience at the forefront of floral design, Chané is one of Bloemfontein’s most respected florists. Having trained under the iconic SA School of Weddings, she later worked as some of Bloem’s most prestigious florists on luxury events and weddings. In 2017 she founded BLOM to reflect her own intimate and artistic approach. Born a true designer, Chané has always loved the pace and creativity of fashion design, something that’s an endless source of inspiration to her. Yet she also craves the peace and natural beauty of the great outdoors. It’s this balance, between the vibrancy of the creative arts and the beauty of the natural world that defines Chane’s own individual style.
Drawing on her love of colour and texture, she combines romance and wildness in rich, generous compositions that are both thoughtful and unexpected. Her studio and shop are bursting with full blooms and and plants & the lingering smell of freshly made coffee. It’s in these peaceful spaces that Chané and her team create their designs, inspired by the beauty that is found in the details of everyday life.
